Lovely...ahem!
This video did absolutely nothing for the promotion of Kinect.
In other news, fanboys briefly come together over the mutually love for shapely asses. Bubbles ensue.
Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom
It is all about the technology, not so much about the game experience with Kinect.
One of the lessons from PSEye was the need for feedback, for a controller. The only reason Sony has a controller like the Wii is because they think it is necessary.
Your line of thinking makes the Kinect seem like a tech demo for the 360. Sony designed the Move around gamer's current needs - precision and immersion - rather than some new fangled technology with limited ...
Only celebrities see Milo and Kate? Or is it where the checks and the scripts of what to say when asked about the game and Kinect are passed out?
But hey, "Milo and Kate" sounds like a sitcom. Maybe they're doing auditions.
Without a PC for three weeks...? My PS3 held me down.
Hallmark, you see fanboys everywhere don't you?
There are those at Microsoft that see the Entertainment Division as being the red-headed step-child:
Zune is a bomb
Courier was scrubbed
Allard resigned...
Shareholders used to over 70% profit margins are wondering why Microsoft is blowing money in gaming and consumer electronics. They have to be concerned about investor sentiments.
But you got to spend money to make money.
Because it is going to be announced with a price cut for the Arcade which includes a Kinect at $149...? I've been saying this all along and I still believe it. They recognize Move has a number of advantages over Kinect; only fanboys are stupid enough not to.
MS is likely going to use a price strategy. Not only is Move is going to have a larger line-up and a two month head start going into the holiday season. Not only will buzz be generated among both the hardcore and c...
Kung Fu Live is a great game for PSEye. I expected Sony to showcase it at E3 to "steal Kinect's thunder" as HHG would say, but they didn't.
I think choice is good. I would like to try out the Move, before committing to buy a FPS on it. But I immediately saw Move integration coming for Heavy Rain when I played the demo. That is going to be my launch Move game. But for other games, it is going to be great having a choice.
I don't see ...
The portable is more like:
in the bathroom,
at my fishing cabin,
across my bed on Saturday afternoons,
breaks on the job,
or with the nephews at their house.
Nothing public.
Kinect already lost if you are going to make this a competition between the devices. Building off your own logic, here's why:
The killer app is going to have to build off each of their respective strengths - full body motion capture and precision motion control. For Kinect, the killer app will likely be a fitness and dancing game. Every other genre just shows off its limitations - lack of precision, no feedback, lack of independent movement. For Move, it is going to b...
Too bad, but this is true:
What is often better for the industry as a whole is detrimental to any one company. It is the whole reason why they compete to differentiate themselves instead of cooperate and integrate each others technologies.
In a perfect world of gaming, we'd have a motion controller like the Move tracked by a Kinect camera. LIVE, HOME and STEAM on all platforms. And casuals wouldn't have games, because they are too busy fetching u...
A lot more technical does not make it necessarily more practical - the reason Sony and Nintendo passed on the tech. PSEye, that guinea pig you referred to, can approximate the motion control of Kinect. There are lot of things Kinect can do that PSEye can't...true. But there are things Move can do that Kinect may never be able to do, like independent movement and force feedback.
Yeah maybe the tech will get better, but Microsoft has a guinea pig right now. Shat happens...
He's right, though.
We've been talking alot about innovation this E3 with 3D, Move and Kinect, but the truest, most forward innovation at E3 was 3DS.
It is different, more advance than what Sony is doing. It is not stereoscopic, which is older than television itself. It is autostereoscopic. Eventually Sony's 3DTV's will be autostereoscopic. When, I don't know, but Nintendo has it now on the DS.
The ability to bring this...
Metal Gear Solid is coming to the 3DS too, dude. Wii is gonna get some love sometime too.
It would make the PS3 the better version, but they should do it. You can use your 360 controller and use slashing motions to do the zan-datsu lightning action (provided you can do them sitting on your couch).
Microsoft has their own service.
Why do we get this misinformation? This is a ranking: You take the number of sales for spot #99 add it to spot #100 and you could have more in sales than your #1.
There are 3 skus for Move @ $49.99, $99.99, and $399.99. The first two are ranked 24 and 19 respectively. The third isn't released, but undoubtedly there are those waiting for that bundle. Add all those up and it could easily be more than Kinect...or not.
You don't know. So why is eveyo...
It's simple. It releases first. Durrh?
